Wandering Through The Woods

We are lucky enough to live really close to my oldest daughter’s preschool and we take the opportunity to walk whenever we can. Twice a week we make the trek down our street and through the woods to school.  On this particular day my daughter wanted to take some extra time to explore the fall leaves with her binoculars.  If your house is anything like mine, the craziest part of any adventure is actually getting out the door! Once we made it outside we loaded up the baby in the stroller and started on our way (fast…before she started crying due to lack of movement!).  My littlest doesn’t seem to like silence, so imagine this whole adventure accompanied by a white noise soundtrack courtesy of my phone. Once we did the preschool drop-off (no pictures allowed), the baby and I made our way home and had a few hours before we wandered through the woods again.

I love the smell of coffee in the morning, country music, flip flops, beaches (but not necessarily swimming), and sunsets. I love the click of that camera shutter and the first glimpse when I upload images to my computer.  I’m lucky enough to have married a man who supports me with his whole heart and who has pushed me to pursue my dreams.  I’m called Mama by a little girl who stole my heart the minute she was born, and who continually makes me proud and teaches me to be a more patient person.  I have a passion for capturing life as it is. Right here. Right now. I crave authenticity and truth. I want images that make me smile, laugh, cry and take my breath away.
