Meet the Monkey

Things have been rough these last few months.  Not only is Chloe going to preschool twice a week, so am I.  We have been dealing with some serious separation anxiety so I have been in preschool with her everyday.  Last Tuesday we had the first successful day of preschool where I wasn’t in the room.  There were tears, there were LOTS of tears but we were able to leave her in the room without me.  To celebrate we went and had lunch with daddy and then after a nap we headed to Build-a-Bear to buy her a monkey.  This monkey is special because it has a message from mommy in it reminding her that mommy will always come back and I am hoping she can take it to school and give it a hug when she is missing me.

Meet George.  I also wrote a letter to Chloe yesterday about preschool last week and yesterday was just as awesome.  She is a big girl now.

  • Carlee - Love it! Great idea! We are having bedtime issues, maybe this same idea could help him 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Colie James - Carlee- Chloe doesn’t sleep with him BUT I am thinking of getting a second one with no voice in it in case she wants to. That way she won’t accidentally activate the voice at night and wake up to my voice.ReplyCancel

  • Jennifer - This is great. Glad the monkey is helping her transition.ReplyCancel
