While we’ve called Washington our home for the last few years, my home will always be San Diego. I try to visit on a regular basis since it’s important to me for Silas to have a relationship with my brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, and parents and grandparents. During our current trip he’s really opened up to my brothers and sisters and follows them around like a little shadow. For breakfast one morning, one of my sisters asked him if he
wanted to help cook pancakes and he was instantly won over. Though most of the pancakes were slightly mangled, Silas and the dogs thought they were delicious.
Kayla is a birth, newborn and family photographer with a lifestyle/documentary style based in Tacoma, Wa where she lives with her husband and (nearly) two year old son. Once on a path to pursue a career in counseling, Kayla was swayed to focus on starting a family, which inadvertently led to pursuing photography. She loves tattoos, a good cup of coffee and is a little bit more than obsessed with Harry Potter. She leads a spectacularly normal life and has made it her personal goal to photograph the mundane without boring her viewers.
