Discovery Museum

As a mom who works full-time outside the home, it’s rare to have an entire weekday alone with my daughter. But, as often as possible, we steal away together on an adventure made for two. We recently had the opportunity to do just that.  We drove an hour away to visit a children’s discovery museum that we’ve been talking about for months. We had a great time! The museum definitely lived up to it’s name, as there was so much to discovery.  She started her adventure by exploring an old fire truck and pretended to drive the truck to the next emergency. She then turned her attention to an ambulance that was parked in the middle of the museum for the children to tour.  Surprisingly, she must have found the inside of the ambulance to be quite relaxing because she proceeded to rest on one of the benches for quite while. We then explored an exhibit filled with magic and wonder, and then ended our visit with her favorite activity-face painting!!

I can’t wait until our next special day together.
